About Us

The Links, Incorporated, founded in 1946, is one of the oldest and largest of predominately African-American, not-for-profit, service organizations in the nation. Its membership consists of over 16,000 professional women in 288 chapters located in 41 states, the District of Columbia, and the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, and London, England. As an international organization, The Links, Incorporated, is committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African-Americans and other persons of African descent. By lifting up the most vulnerable people in a community, The Links, Incorporated, elevates the entire community. Our five specific programming areas are The Arts, International Trends and Services, National Trends and Services, Services to Youth, and Health and Human Services. Through its mission of service, Links members have contributed more than 1,000,000 documented hours of community service annually in their continuing efforts to strengthen their communities and the nation.
