The Minneapolis- St. Paul Chapter of The Links, Inc and the Global Women’s
Empowerment Network are coming together to declare 2021 the year of the Black woman.
We are creating safe spaces outside of work and school for Black women in Minnesota to focus on our personal and professional development and
building a global supportive community of mentors for young Black women around the world. Our first event will challenge the definition of mentors and encourage participants to take action in their lives to set one ambitious goal that will help the women in their community.
In partnership with Girls Taking Action, we are leveraging our relationships to provide the authors, resources, and mentors that our Black girls need to be able to believe in themselves and thrive during the pandemic, distance learning, and the racial awakening in global politics.
